It was Pastor’s birthday last Sunday. We tried to surprise him with a party but rumor has it he knew we were up to something…but I think we still surprised him a little.

He likes motorcycles, can you tell?

Time to open gifts and cut the cake!

A different tie for every Sunday for one whole year!

Just what I needed, a gas saver!

Ok, this is not funny. Where is the real thing?

This is a new feature in our FBC Blog. Occasionally, a question pertaining to Family Baptist Church will be posted on the blog. The first person (only on Guam and currently attending FBC are eligible~sorry former or off-island members) to post the correct answer on the comment section of this post will win a “little” prize. You will know if you are the winner by coming back and checking the “comments” section of the post. Here is the first question: What book in the Bible is Pastor Jay teaching from in the Sunday School hour?

Many of our Junior and Senior High students attended a week long camp at Harvest Baptist Church. Besides the games, treks to the beach, and food, the teens were challenged to live for God, pray, and be in His word. They shared testimonies of decisions they made, how God worked in their lives all week, and the challenges they are faced with in the world. Pray for all of our teens that they will continue to “run the race” with God as their strength and guide.

We’re thankful Bro. Rob made it home safely and that Bro. Kayne was home for some R&R. Continue to pray for all of our men and women who are deployed, on training & TDY all over the world.

It was a HOT, HOT day…perfect for a picnic at the beach. While some cooled off by going swimming and snorkeling, others stayed under the canopy and trees to fellowship.

Menu: Red/white/blue rice, barbecued/baked chicken, ribs, pork chops, steak, pasta/vegetable salads, pickles, pancit, lumpia, soup, daigo, salsa, fruits, cakes, cookies, avocado, calamai, brownies, and a lot more.

Thanks clean up crew!

This was the title of Pastor Jay’s message this morning. The first reason is because Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it. (Ephesians 5:25) After 30,000 miles of driving all over the USA and several thousand miles in the air to get to Guam, Pastor Jay and Sis. Linda are safely home.
