This was the title of Pastor Jay’s message this morning. The first reason is because Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it. (Ephesians 5:25) After 30,000 miles of driving all over the USA and several thousand miles in the air to get to Guam, Pastor Jay and Sis. Linda are safely home.
We bid yet another farewell to our last couple who filled in for the Aarseths while they were on furlough. They have all been a blessing to FBC!
The Puppet Team gave another wonderful performance last Sunday called, “The House Behind the Weeds”, which was dedicated to all dads. The story was about a brother and sister who discovered an old church building hidden and overgrown by weeds. They decided to clean it all up and invite others to come to church. The highlight of the story was when their Dad rededicated his life to the Lord.

Bro. Byrd has baptized many in ponds, lakes, and baptistries, but he was pretty excited to perform his first baptism in an ocean, the biggest one in the world! Praise the Lord for Bro. Nathan and Ryan Tuoch (pronounced “two-wash”) on their baptism.
Sis. Myrna led these 5 young ladies to the Lord during Sunday School. Praise the Lord!

Bro. Norman and Sis. Alice Byrd celebrated their birthdays this past week. It has been a blessing having them with us at FBC. An extra blessing for them was a visit from their grandson Kaleb, who preached during the morning service last Sunday. He will be graduating from Bible College and going into the mission field in the Philippines. Remember him in your prayers.
As many families are off on summer vacation or getting ready to take off, it is good to have Sis. Brandy Thorpe and her boys, Cody and Kayden back from the states after being away for several months.
We are also glad to have the Ishmaels back after a long year in Texas. We would like to congratulate Bro. Mark Ishmael on his promotion to Sargeant Major.
