We celebrated the closing of Master Club for the school year 2008-2009 with a pizza party. We also said goodbye to Bro. Larry and Sis. Laura Goltiao as they will be relocating to the states in July. We will miss them! If you’re interested in working with a group of energetic and great kids see Bro. Mark and Sis. Frances Ishmael. We could use your help!
A few Indians and Pilgrims were seen at FBC during Thanksgiving week. Master Club was having a feast and some contests for the night. Some kids received prizes for winning a coloring contest and for dressing up as an indian or pilgrim. It was also outgoing MC Commander Bro. Besar Santos’ last night with us.
Elias thought that was one of the best Thanksgiving meals he’s had!

We held a change of command for the Master Club during the evening service today. Bro. Besar Santos, outgoing Master Club Commander, gave the command of the club to Bro. Mark Ishmael. We would like to thank Bro. Besar for his leadership these past two years. We pray the Lord will continue to use and bless him at his next duty station. We’ll miss you Bro. Besar!

We had Chamorros, better known as “da local boys”, very distingushed Filipinos in their Barong Tagalog, a beautifully dressed Japanese girl, Chinese women, a little cute Scottish girl, Islanders from all over the Pacific, an Arabian and the All-American Cowboy. (click on the pictures to enlarge)
Have you seen any of these (criminals) Christians lurking around FBC? If you have, turn them in to Sheriff Goltiao for some hefty reward $$money$$. It seems that “Caesar the Kid” and “Lahlah Mae West” are the most sought after out of the whole group with their reward money so high. On the other hand Winky-Eye Elias was spotted everywhere on the island. His $10 reward money won’t even pay for the cost of gas to turn him in. He remains at large.
Master Club had another Western Night with games, food, and a costume contest.
Bro. Besar Santos challenged everyone by using the biblical principal that we are prisoners in and to this world unless we are set free by the blood of Jesus Christ. Only when we believe and trust Jesus are we truly free.
John 8:32, 36 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Romans 5: 18 , 19 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
These kids were imprisoned for different reasons. The only way they can be set free was if another kid payed their way out using Master Club shares or by winning one of the games that was played.

Bro. Jeff tells the other guys how he lassoed and roped a calf at the last rodeo. I don’t know how much truth there is to his story but if his attire is any indication of the truth he’d better convince them by wearing a real cowboy hat!

Last Wednesday was Western Night for the children in Masters Club. The children dressed up as cowboys, cowgirls, indians, and Nick dressed up as a horse. It was a fun-filled night with games, treats, & prizes.

Awards Ceremony
The rain did not dampen the kids’ spirits on race day. They all came out with their boats designed with speed and to have fun. The kids were also treated to pizza and other yummy goodies after a long and competitive race. Casey Santos, Elias Guerrero, and Chloe Santos all won their races in their division. The boats were also judged on their creative art work and the winners were given certificates and Cold Stone coupons during the awards ceremony. Thank you to everyone involved who made this year’s regatta a great time for our kids.
Master Club Regatta will set sail on Saturday, March 1 (rescheduled for March 8th) at the church. The children are preparing their boats for race day.
