Pastor Jay and Sis. Linda are in Augusta, Georgia with their daughter Lindsay and grandaughter Emma Norcross who are recovering from burns to their bodies. Lindsay and her children were in their home when it exploded and caught on fire. Lindsay’s son Ewan is now with the Lord and we praise the Lord for the progress Lindsay and Emma are making. Please continue to pray for their recovery as well as for the Aarseth and Norcross families as they go through this very difficult time.
Notes and letters of encouragement can be sent to the address below:

Bro. Larry leads the church in singing some of the fun songs he taught the kids during VBS. The kids received VBS awards for coming faithfully, saying their verses, and bringing visitors.

Mark 12:30, 31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

We had a fun-filled three days of VBS. This year’s theme challenged each child to give his whole being—heart, soul, mind, and strength—to God in worship, love, and obedience.
We averaged about 40 kids during the 3 nights we had VBS. There were competitions for Red, Blue, and Yellow teams for games, singing, penny war, and Zonk where the kids must answer a question correctly from the Bible lesson taught that night. Every night there was a Bible story time, games, and a craft. Last night the winning team was announced. All three teams were so close but on Friday night the Zonk game had two “5000″ point stars and the YELLOW team found one of them and came out winning!! Thanks to Sis. Patty Carman for coordinating this year’s VBS and to Bro. Larry Goltiao who directed VBS every night as well as all the workers in the different areas! The Missions Team will be presenting this same VBS program next year on their mission’s trip to Thailand.
