Farewell to the Ishmaels

June 27, 2007

Today was the last Sunday before the Ishmaels leave for the states. Praise God for allowing us to spend time with them. May the Lord bless them as they are away and bring them back to us safely next year.
We celebrated birthdays and anniversaries today and welcomed some visitors who are new to the island.
This was also the last Sunday for our two brothers from Alaska. May the Lord be with them and bring them back safely to their families.

Welcome Baby Kalle Christine!

June 16, 2007

Congratulations Ryan and Liz! We look forward to meeting your precious little girl soon!

If you’re able to give meals for their sweet family, you can coordinate that with Sister Myrna or Sister Carol. Also, if you haven’t been able to give them a meal this week and would like to in the future, we’re pretty sure that it would be most appreciated! There are no food allergies just try to avoid spicy foods since Liz is nursing. Thank you in advance!

Breakfast for Dads this Sunday

June 16, 2007

Here’s an update on what’s going on for our Sunday Breakfast for Dads! Thank you Sister Myrna for getting this out to us!

Hi Ladies,

Father’s Day is on June 17 and we usually have “Breakfast for Dads” before Sunday School. So if you’re up to it, we all usually bring in any breakfast foods to feed the dads (and whoever is there). Remember we have to be there before 8:30 a.m. So if any can show up earlier to help setup that would be a blessing! We should be able to wrap up by 9:00. We also have a guest speaker for Sunday School that day.

Let’s start cooking!

Love,
Myrna

yesterday in the Ministry. Yesterday morning 5 adults
raised their hands for salvation! Praise the Lord!!!”

and in a second email…
Thank you!!! I appreciate your prayers very much as
we too are praying for you guys there. Take care and
God bless!!! We’ve been busy the past couple of days.
Please also pray for our young people especially.

In Christ,
Jeff

Sign Up for Growing Kids God’s Way Class

June 4, 2007

This past Sunday night was the last session for the class. Only six couples are allowed to be in each eighteen-week period. If you’re intereted, see Jackie or sign up at the back. The list should be available soon.

It is not a guarantee that the class will be held on a Sunday. Nevertheless, it is a good time of learning and fellowship. We want to thank Brother Bernard for leading our first class! As busy as they are with other ministries in the church, they agreed to be together to encourage the class and Brother Bernard administer the sessions.

Liz’s Baby Shower

June 4, 2007

Teddy bears and tea. This was such a cute and sweet theme. Sister Carol did a great job with the help of family members and church members to produce a lovely and fun-filled baby shower for Liz. We had a great time!
