Girls Club – Nutrition Class

April 3, 2007

Sister Jeanine continues to work with the girls at our church. It isn’t too late to sign up. Their meetings are currently on hold as we wait for her return from Florida. Continue to pray for her mom’s healing and for her family during this time.

The Girls Club is for girls ages 10-16 and meets on Saturday mornings according to the sign up sheet times at the back of the church building. We will keep you posted on any updates.

During one of the last meetings, we covered a little on health and nutrition. The girls had a chance to view many different whole grains from red quinoa, millet, spelt, and different types of wheat. Some of them also had the chance to roll their very own oats for oatmeal from oat groats.

Girls, you were given fresh herbs to put in water. Continue to dump out the dirty water every few days or so and keep your cups half-filled. Your roots should start to show within a couple of weeks or so. We will be using these herbs when we learn how to make some herb-filled focaccia bread.
